Hi all,

I decided in a random moment to dye my hair from its natural blonde to light brown. It looks ok but im missing being blonde and i have waited maybe 4 weeks waiting for it to fade. IS there a way i can get it back to blonde? Any ideas welcome and it dosnt really matter the cost cos im desperate!

go see a professional and have them remove the color and make you back to something close to your natural. it shouldn't be hard if it's just a light brown, and it's had time to fade like you said. Plus with your hair being short they can do what is called a "soap cap" with some bleach and probably be pretty good, then of course they have to tone it because it will be yellow from the bleaching. I wouldn't think that would cost too much because you have short hair-maybe $75ish (at the salon I work at I think that would be around the price) : )

--oh, don't listen to people. You can't lighten already colored hair with another color, you need to get it removed and then recolored--silly non-haircolorists

i dont think you should soap cap it. long or short. just hilte your hair and leave the rest like it is. istead of any more damage to the hair, hilites help keep less damage all over.

Yes you can have your hair bleached. You might want a professional to do it though seeing how it'd be the second time you're putting hair coloring on, keep in mind hair is fragile. They can match it to what your natural hair color is (I know, I've had this done and IF it is done by someone who knows what they are doing it looks very natural.) Hair salons are often get this sort of thing, you are not the first person to have this happen to, so don't worry.

Be careful about bleaching your hair yourself though, you might end up with an odd color.

You can dye it back to blond. The ones that fade after a few weeks so it doesn't damage your hair........that much.

Hey- well.....there are two ways that youcan fix it. One- get a dyieing resolution to get the dye out and wash ur hair till it comes out. Or two: get it dyed blonde. But then you will not have ur natural blonde. I'd go with number one. GOOD LUCK!!

since you dyed ur hair light brown and u want to get back to blonde you can either dye it or you can avoid damaging hair you can wear a wig and wait for ur hair to wash away.

I'm so sorry. I have blonde hair too, and I would never dream of dying it though. If it makes you feel any better, you can fix it. Have the person who died your hair die it back. Go to her/him and ask them to die your hair it's natural color. Then cut it short, so that you can have the natural color grow back as quickly as possible.

the only way to get your hair back to its natural blonde color is to let it grow out, if you dont want to wait to grow it out, you have to have your hair bleached but i would go to a professional for that. youll never get it back to what it was unless you just let it grow.
